If I had known that I could grow up to be a professional mermaid back when I was a kid, I may have made some different choices.
But since I've only discovered the reality of being a mermaid in real life, I will settle for drawing all of my underwater dreams instead.
Sirens are not your friendly neighbourhood mermaids, they are fierce, powerful and a little (a lot) dangerous. It's a wonderful juxtoposition to the familiar story of the little mermaid who gives up her voice to win a man. A siren will sing her man to his death and drag him under the waves.
